Tibor (Benjamin) Engler COTWI – Chief Officer for Tail-Wagging Impressions Tibor was our first COTWI. 

A white-black German Shepherd - Border Collie mix, intelligent, independent and full of character. 

We met him at the age of twelve weeks on a farm. There was a whole litter - ten siblings, accommodated in a cowshed. 

When we arrived, the farm gate was closed.
I held my hand in the stall. 
One of the puppies had a clear opinion about visitors
and nipped my hand directly. 
Shortly after, the stall door was opened and the whole gang stormed onto the farm. 
The little guy who had just nipped my hand sat down right in front of my feet. 

The decision was made. 
Not by us. By him. 
Tibor had decided that we belong together. 

We played on the farm for a while before we wanted to leave. 
Then something happened that we will never forget: Tibor simply jumped into our car. 
His mother came over, nudged him one last time -
turned around - and went back to the farm. 
So our joint journey began. 
Tibor became 14 years old. 
And he taught us more about loyalty, character and attitude in this time
than many people.
